Founded in 2013 by Dr. Hany Azer, St. Mina Animal Hospital has become a one-stop provider of veterinary services in Mansfield Texas. Dr. Azer and his caring, experienced staff continue to provide reasonably priced care and cater to the needs of your pet.

Our Team

Dr. Hany Azer, A Leading Vet in Mansfield TX

Dr. Hany Azer grew up in Elminia, Egypt. He was always around animals, and his childhood pet was a black and white cat named Rosie. Dr. Azer would play veterinarian with Rosie. This paired with constant encouragement from his parents, made him realize that veterinary medicine was his true passion.

His journey to become a veterinarian began after he graduated from Assiut University of Egypt. He volunteered at Brown Trail Animal Hospital in Bedford, Texas. After this, he attended the Oklahoma State University School of Veterinary Medicine and began his clinical rotations in 2010. After working for another local hospital for two years, he decided to open his own practice in Mansfield. Dr. Azer’s very own pet hospital, St. Mina Animal Hospital officially opened in 2013.

One of Dr. Azer’s favorite things about veterinary medicine is helping to rehabilitate a sick or injured animal back to full health. He believes in the importance of preventative medicine and he loves educating others about the importance of wellness care.

Dr. Azer and his wife Marian have three kids: Veronica, Sandra, and Mina. The family shares their home with two pets named Penny and Rosie. Dr. Azer’s parents, brothers, and sister all live close by in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and he loves having his family near where he works.

In his downtime, Dr. Azer loves spending time with his children and taking them to the park to play. He also loves to read the latest articles and pieces on veterinary medicine. Dr. Azer is also active as a deacon and Sunday school teacher in his church.

Marian Mena Azer, Office Manager

Marian, Dr. Hany Azer’s wife, works hard as our Office Manager to ensure the highest standards of quality and care in everything we do here at St. Mina Animal Hospital. Since joining our team in May of 2015, Marian has been overseeing all office operations, helping with scheduling reminders, verifying documentation, and billing. The part of her job that Marian enjoys best is doing pet reminders and helping the office stay organized while exuding her bright smile and positivity.

“Being able to come to work to support my husband, Dr. Hany Azer, is great” Marian says. At home, she enjoys spending her time studying with their kids, taking care of the house, meeting up with family, and going to church on the weekends. She helps prepare for Sunday school, providing lessons sand events. Marian and the Azers own a Pomeranian named Rosie, who is another member of the family she loves to spend time with and look after.

Chandra Pryor, Practice Manager

My name is Chandra and I am the practice manager at St. Mina Animal Hospital. I have been working with Dr. Azer and the staff to make sure that we are providing great service, a clean and safe work environment, and the most competitive prices in the area. I have been a veterinary practice manager for over 20 years and I truly love what I do. I love sharing ideas with Dr. Azer and make sure that the staff is properly trained to take care of your family members. I take pride that we are an AAHA certified hospital. I have always loved working with animals of all shapes and sizes. I also enjoy staff training. Animals like humans have different personalities and different needs and I want to make sure that we provide individualized care to all patients so they have the best experience possible.

I have my Bachelor’s in Biology and enjoy staying educated and up to date on the latest protocols, and highest veterinary standards. I have three daughters, two cats, a dog, and a fish that keep me very busy. I enjoy hiking, going to the lake, taking trips, and spending lots of quality time with my family. I look forward to meeting you and your 4-legged friend and being able to provide them with the care and compassion they deserve. See you soon!
